What you need
- To use Gemini Apps with a Google AI plan, you must be 18 years of age or older.
- The Gemini app in Google AI Pro is available where the Gemini web app and Gemini mobile app are supported.
- For now, the Gemini app in Google AI Ultra is available in more than 70 countries & territories.

Tip: If you travel from a country where Google AI Ultra is available to a country where it is not available, you may still find notifications in Gemini Apps about Ultra, but you won’t be able to upgrade or use Ultra until you return to a country where Ultra is supported.

Gemini Apps limits
Gemini Apps has usage limits designed to ensure an optimal experience for everyone. This means we may at times have to cap the number of prompts and conversations you can have within a specific timeframe. Your capacity replenishes regularly, so you can get back to chatting with Gemini Apps soon.
The number of prompts you can use before hitting the limit varies and depends on factors like how long and complex your prompts are, the size and number of files you upload, and the length of your conversations with Gemini Apps.
Gemini Apps will notify you in the app when you are close to reaching your chat capacity for a given period.

What you can do when you reach your limit for a feature- Limit notifications. There are limits for how many videos you can create. You’ll get a notification when you’re close to the limit. The notification will tell you how many videos you have left.
- Google AI Pro limits. Google AI Pro users who reach their video generation limit can upgrade to Google AI Ultra or wait for their limit to refresh.
- Google AI Ultra limits. Users with Google AI Ultra have higher limits and can generate more videos. Learn about Google AI Ultra availability and how to upgrade.
Context window
What is a context window?When you upload files to Gemini Apps, it needs to "read" the content to provide useful insights or answers. The context window is like the reading capacity. It determines how much content can be understood together at one time.
A larger context window allows Gemini to read and comprehend more. For example, with a 1M token context window, Gemini can understand up to 1,500 pages of text or 30,000 lines of code.
If you exceed the context window, this could lead to responses that don’t take into account all the content provided or miss connections or details throughout the content. This is most relevant for prompts that require attention to many details scattered throughout large files.
